Why Crypto Education Struggles in Nigeria – Chris Ani

Chris Ani, the founder and CEO of Daba School, talked on a panel at the Digital Assets Summit organized by SiBAN in Abuja, Nigeria, about the importance of significant support for education and teamwork in the country’s crypto ecosystem.

As each organization also pays attention to these four areas of the sector internally, he stated that Nigeria’s crypto stakeholders may work together to support efforts that focus on research, development, education, and government lobbying.

He pointed out that such a step might enable Nigerian crypto industry participants to create their own blockchain, much like Coinbase did with its Base blockchain.

Why Crypto Education is Poor

The creator of Digital Abundance claims that Nigeria has a thriving crypto scene with a sizable user base that actively engages in digital asset exchanges. The business world, particularly exchanges, has frequently prioritized facilitating these transactions above comprehensive education, leaving a hole.

The complicated landscape of the Nigerian crypto sector has been one of the causes of this education gap. For instance, it is challenging to successfully run a cryptocurrency exchange in a nation that ought to put its first emphasis on its goal of simplifying cryptocurrency transactions.

When the fundamental goal of these businesses is not achieved, it is more difficult to consider the components of education and awareness, and as a result, education suffers in the sector.

Chris also spoke to the audience about his entry into the cryptocurrency industry, which began in 2016, when he set out on a quest to inform the general public.

He performed seminars and gave them out for free all across the nation, highlighting the revolutionary potential of cryptocurrencies while armed with a PDF document he wrote about Bitcoin.

He established Crypto Hub, an online platform that functioned as a virtual arena for Nigerians eager to learn the world of crypto and Bitcoin, as the demand for crypto knowledge increased.

Chris opened his first blockchain hub in Lagos in 2018, giving people a tangible location to become immersed in the technology.

He said that the hub will be crucial in forming the vision for Digital Abundance (DABA) School, a platform devoted to giving individuals the information they need to successfully traverse the cryptocurrency and digital environment.

Today, DABA School offers a variety of classes to teach young people about cryptocurrencies and digital skills they may use to participate in the global tech industry.
